Not a Blogger – Yet

I am not publishing a Blog at present, but am using this wordpress site purely as a traditional website to organize and present research results. This may change in the future, but as I’m in the discovery phase, i.e. “when you don’t know what you’re doing,” I’m not even sure how useful it would be. Nonetheless, leave a reply if you’re so inclined.

    Hello Mr. Kearney,
I’m doing research on Joshua Coffin, which led me to his letter to Lewis Tappan about the Armistad. My curiosity about Lahy Ganges and Google brought me here. I think your blog is wonderful. What a great story to uncover! I love what you’re doing; I think it’s very important to make the story and people of the Ganges more visible to history. Please keep on doing what you’re doing. Joshua Coffin and John Greenleaf Whittier, the poet, were both abolitionists and good friends. If you ever feel like quitting, read Whittier’s poem “DON’T QUIT”. I wish you the best.

Thank you Cindy. I have no intention of quitting. Believe me, with 126 of the First Ganges to work from, there’s still plenty of opportunities to move the project ahead. Of course, if you come across any Joshua Coffin materials relating to the Ganges, I’d love to hear about it.
